These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any handyman or home repair services provided by The General Handyman ("we," "us," or "our"), a locally operated, disabled veteran owned business serving Overland Park, KS and the greater Kansas City metro. By requesting a quote, scheduling work, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these terms.
We provide general handyman and home repair services including, but not limited to, drywall repair, painting, door and window repair, fixture installation, furniture assembly, deck and framing repair, water and sewer line repair, French drain installation, electrical and lighting work, and related home maintenance services. Specific services offered may change over time.
Quotes provided over the phone, by text, or through our website are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing is confirmed once we've assessed the job in person. Unforeseen issues discovered once work begins (such as hidden damage) may affect the final cost, and we will communicate any changes with you before proceeding.
Deposits are not required for every job. For larger projects, a deposit may be requested before work begins; if so, the amount and terms will be communicated to you directly and agreed upon before any deposit is collected.
We do our best to arrive within the window we provide. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, contact us as soon as possible at (816) 800-2620 and we'll work with you to find a new time. We do not currently charge cancellation or rescheduling fees.
Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods communicated to you at the time of service.
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you believe a job wasn't completed to the standard discussed, contact us and we will address it. This is not a manufacturer's warranty and does not cover materials, normal wear and tear, or damage caused after our work is completed.
The General Handyman is fully insured. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
To the extent permitted by Kansas law, The General Handyman is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from services provided, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
This website and its content are provided for informational purposes to help you learn about and request our services. You agree not to misuse the site, including submitting false information through our quote form or attempting to disrupt the site's normal operation.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved in the courts of Johnson County, Kansas.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
